H Mart near Fairfax: pours copper with an off white head. Aroma is some citrus, plus earthy malts and pine. Taste is lightly bitter, quite malty. Old school, but not in the best way.

Pours an amber from a can. Bit of a nondescript piney aroma and flavor, a little sweet. Frankly a nice change from the inundation of NEIPAs going on. Good beer.

Thick-ish, just off-white head over clear dark-golden beer. Sweet nose, old malts, some oxydation, orangepeel. Sweet-malty taste, cookies, finish displays something liqueurish. Bit sticky, maltstickiness; undercarbonated. Not really bad, but uninspiring. Thanks to Stef!

330mL bottle, pours black with a large beige head. Nose is full of lactose-like sweetness, moderate roast, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is moderately sweet, with medium roast, gentle earthy cocoa, and lactose-like sweetness. Clean and balanced, though unexceptional. Solid stout.

A Seijo Ishio find: Echigo Nonbiri Funwari Shiroi Biiru Weizen for a Relaxing Time 5% Cute polar bear in a hammock on a green background can. Nice spicy cloves and wheat aroma with a thick eggy head that lingers a bit. Light bodied and surprisingly crisp and dry. The taste is spicy cloves all the way. Refreshing and matches the name for sure.
