Can 35 cl. Pours an almost clear, reddish amber with a creamy, beige head. Sweet toffee and caramel nose. Medium body, sweet toffee and biscuits with little bitterness or carbonation. Almost more Amber than Brown. 310722

Can 35 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing, white head. Yeast nose with banana accents and a hint of diacetyl. Medium body, solid carbonation, sweet banana notes and yeast with a slight bitterness in the finish. Pleasant. 300722

Can. Clear amber with a white head. Very shy aroma of pine, boiled citrus, caramel. Bolder taste is along those lines with lots of pine and strong bitterness. A weak, not very good, old fashioned US-style IPA.

Can (Mr Mama). Cloudy orange with fading fluffy white head. Aroma is bready and spicy with hints of lemon. Dryish with a wheaty twang, lots of cloves and a little bitterness. The finish nudges up on too decisive but stays the right side. Pretty good.

Can picked up from Meny 19/05/2022 - clear golden pour with a white head. Sweet malty and citrus fruity, notes of pine needles, herbal and grassy hops, caramel malty backbone, bitter hoppy finish. Pretty basic affair.

(Bottle) Pours clear golden yellow with tiny loose white head. Little aroma, mainly bready grain. Light bodied and fizzy. Very little taste. Some grassy hints at the start, lean to some lemon notes and bread notes. Maybe a hint of pear drops towards the end. For a beer presumably crafted to have very little flavour it is ok, but really, why bother?

Can at Fin's, didn't write down the date, drunk 3/20/22. Clear, peachy-pale-gold. Small, rapidly fading white head. Fruity rice, peachy and estery with soft honey-like malt and a semblance of floral hops. Clean. Soft, but crisp and refreshing enough. Oddly fruity but also with some floral bitterness. Clean, so that's the most important thing here.

Echigo Raspberry Chocolate Cake Stout 7% Dark black with rusty tan foam makes for a good looking beer. Strawberry jam aroma with dark caramel bread malt character. The taste is big raspberry up front then roasty dark malts with the chocolate in the aftertaste. I had a raspberry Kit Kat so decided to pair them. That works really well, the beer brings out a bright tangy raspberry from the Kit Kat which then accentuates dark chocolate notes in the beer. This is really quite nice. The Echigo stout is solid so I shouldn’t be surprised this is too. Now, I want to get another to try it hot.
