Description
We first started Carnival in a kitchen in Liverpool after a fundraising event at the Clearview Carnival, 2017. It is where we met and started the journey of Carnival Brewing Company over a love of music and beer. Now here we are, developing our very own fundraiser for the future endeavours of Carnival.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours clear, deep brown with a modest, frothy but fading beige head. Medium sweet flavour, a little coconut, tonka, soft roast, lightly bitter cocoa, a little ash and earth. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Some vague dark fruits in the finish, berries, cocoa. A bit scattered overall but it’s drinkable.

Can from Hoptimism. Appearance - hazy yellow with a snow white head. Nose - lime zest and salt. Light funk. Taste - intense lime zest and peel. Salty edge again. Palate - light bodied, dry zesty and slightly tart finish. Overall - it's good. I'm not sure if the base beer is particularly tart or if that's all coming from the lime.

[33cl can from Beer52] A hazy tawny brown pour with a loose beige coloured head; aroma of roasted malts and coffee beans; smooth and velvety in the mouth with an immediate hit of bitterness from deeply roasted malts, relieved by some caramel add a touch of sweetness; then a long finish with some herbal bitter notes added to the grains. A tasty stout.

Can thanks to a Liverpool dwelling friend, consumed on the train home from Darlington. Pours hazy orange with a thin white head. Aromas of lactic sour, fruit, faint mint. Taste is more of the same. Tangy finish.

Rocky tan head stayed on a near black still body. Coal, earthy & bitter malted aroma. Medium bodied, creamy & sharp on the back with a dry aft. Malt, chocolate, burnt & bitter pithy tastes with a hoppy finish. Not bad.
