Notes from March 2009 Back of the coaster notes from BT VSK 2.0, & subsequently reinforced here & there a few times over. Dry hopped. A hazy still pour the color of lemon-lime Gatorade. A whisp of bubbles on top, but it's as flat as if it was just primed last night. Pretty much the same experience every time. Smell is a tad dusty. Aroma of lemon rind, cereal grains, grass, vinegar, & sour milk. I was interested. Flavor is much of the same, though very meh when put together. Add to the lemon, some apples &/or apricots, some wheat, & an ugly additional amount of lactose. Some Romaine lettuce to top it off & add some much needed bitterness. Body felt heavier then I'd like. A base beer for some other experiments from what I heard. Please put Linda's Little Elixir on cask instead.

Notes from April 2010 Batch 3 Ommegang flute hybrid glass. Had it in place of white wine with my flounder. Sparkling, clear pale gold color with just a spritz of head. Can't help but yeast it up a little with my second pour though, turning it a towards a murky mellow gold, a bit like watered down grapefruit juice. Smell is full with apricots, unripened peaches, melon, & soured cider. It has a bit of that Cantillon bite in the nose. A bit musty like ice wine, but more familiar & less appealing, with traces of spoiled milk & rubbing alcohol. Taste is dominated by tangy & sharp fruit. Unripened pineapple, more peaches, & hard green grapes. Middle in it turns slightly bitter with lettuce, then slightly buttery. Finish has lots of similarities to spontaneously fermented scrumpy cider. Last call on the finish is a drag of gooey dough & yeast. Carbonation is pretty nice, & the alcohol is decently hidden by the sharp fruit notes. It's gets your palate salivating for more appetizers when drank in tight sips. Overall, a bit more mellow & less sour then previous batches I feel. Maybe less complex, but certainly easier to drink, which is a shame because of the price & bottle limit. I can't exactly remember how this tasted fresh, aside from a little less oxidation, & more snap in my tongue. I do remember licking my lips a bit more back at the release. Aging this bottle hasn't really made me say wow. I wouldn't hold on to these expecting anything better in the long term.

2017 flaska. Gyllene utan skum. Frisk syrlig, druvor, vinös alkohol lite kryddighet.

Flaska. Doftar väldigt vinöst, torkad frukt, även mycket trä. Ganska tung och alkoholstinn på ett positivt lägerelds sätt. Påminner otippat nog om en barley wine. Komplext och gott.

Can 335ml @ yngwie. Pours hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, orange, pine and grapefruit. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long citrus, orange and grapefruit finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Can. A hazy one, golden in color and with a dense but minimalistic off-white head. Some lacing. Grapefruit, pineapple notes, pine cones, pale malts, some alcohol and a touch of bread and grass in the aroma. It's full-bodied and lightly warming, softly carbonated, semi-sweet, with a good bitterness to deal with the sugars. Pine cones, resin, grapefruit and some hints of tropical fruityness in the flavor. Pale malts in the back. Medium length finish. A bit sweet this one, but sure a fine brew, quite classic. 241019
