Can 35,5 cl. 9.1% ABV in my version. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Biscuity nose paired with piney hops. Rich malty body, crispy and biscuity but not really sweet. Solid bitterness in the finish. Old school lovely. 280224

Can at Bishops Arms Gamla Stan. Hazy yellow/orange with a medium white head. Sweetish with citrus, mild pineapple and some hay. Warming alcohol in the finish.

(Can) Hazy pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Hoppy, fruity nose with notes of orange peel, peaches, pine needles, grapefruit and mango. Hoppy, fruity taste with orange peel, peaches, pine needles, pink grapefruit, mango, herbs and a generous citric/piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and hoppy, quite bitter. Nice one.

Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a mild orange glow with a pretty big three centimetre tall creamy tan head that's microfoamed and leaves an ugly lace on the sides, but the zillions of bubbles below that rise from the bottom and are beautiful. Aroma of super bitter alpha acids and hoppiness with grapefruit peel, lemons, cleanser and some noticeable malts are here too - very strong in the nose with seemingly a lot of bitterness. Medium-bodied; Very rich, piney, resinous hops dominate, like the old, rich California IPAs of the past - for real - in a great way! Aftertaste is balacned nicely with a ton of malts to support all the hops and bitterness, some soft sweetness from pineapple and fruit notes, but the grapefruit peel, resin, pine and all the alpha acidds are great for real hop heads and remind me at least of the good old times from the West Coast IPA days! Overall, a great example of a REAL West Coast IPA with tons of actual bitterness - this isn't Imperial at all, but it is great - especially if you liked these beers in the mid 2000s! Get it if you can find it and drink this fresh! I'm happy to have had this will try to find more of it! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Laurel, Maryland on 20-July-2022 for US$3,79, canned on 26-January-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-August-2022, after returning from Summer Vacation with my wife and three kids from Peru and Chile, finally nice to have a GOOD beer!

From backlog. 0,3 litre Can, from Systembolaget Charlottenberg, at a share in Brumunddal. Golden with white head. Malts, hops, yeast, Fruity, grapefruit, some Piney bitterness.

Pours amber with a medium sized white head. Aroma of honeyed malt. Taste has soft Pilsen notes, heavy complement of citrus, lingering yeast. Palate has more delicate citrus oils, some floral elements. Not bad.

Draught. Clear golden with a foamy large off-white head, pineapple-citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, mildly bitter taste with pineapple, mango, floral hops, smooth thin body, long finish. Flavorful!

Pounder can from total wine canned 3/3/2023. Very light clear pale with a nice big foaming head. Some orange in the olfactory but I'm not sure what the other odors are. First taste impression is that there is something orange in there. Has a decent level of carbonation too. A big swig gives you a big foaming mouthful. Yea, some orange in there and there is some kind of feeling of plain old good pale lager too. Need I say, its a pretty well balanced lager, not like so many terrible domestic attempts at a good tasting lager. I would expect nothing less from CL. Not sure lately, but in the old days, good ol' CL made some decent beers. Mind you, I haven't tasted one since the year '21 and those were IPA, so what do I know? The best one I tasted was the Captain Lawrence Smoke from the Oak Rum Barrel, and that was an oak age, which I don't particularly care for, clear back in '09. Anyway, in the middle, this stuff doesn't have many ill attributes and, its starting to grow on me. Yea, it finishes with a decent feel to it and, it kinda comes across as quite satisfying. A decent lager; not overpowering in the fruit aspect.
