Cask. White Horse Brancaster Staithe. Was convinced I’d added this last March. Anyway. Clear deep chestnut brown. Thick lasting tight of white head. Big vinous notes. Bit of chocolate malt. Light leafy hop. Taste is vinous and lightly tart (it’s not in as good nick as when I last had it). Some sweetness. Drinks easy nevertheless. Good bitter.

Tan head on a clear copper coloured body. Roasted & berry aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a creamy back. Malt, caramel, berries & toffee tastes with a tangy citrussy finish. Nice one.

Cask. Jolly Sailors, Brancaster Staithe. Very dark chestnut brown. Tight of white foam. Vinous and nutty. Some caramel truffle. Taste is vinous and light fruit bitter. Smooth and ridiculously easy drinking. Finish has some sweetness but overall this is a fruity vinous delight of a brew.

Bottle. Ringstead Stores, Ringstead, Norfolk. Soft haze on a coppery amber. Fine and fairly dense white head. Nose has that (probably imagined) saline thing with lots of beer round that area. Brancaster and Woodefords in particular I find. Or maybe they just have something that reminds me of being on holiday there. Anyhoo. Nicely bitter edge. Smooth and in great condition. Lingering bitter finish.
