500ml bottle [Thanks Grumbo for restoring the "sunken" Potemkin by an intact wreck!]. Minimally milky, copper-ish brown colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy and toasty, nutty malty aroma, notes of red and blue berries, hints of Brazil nut, even a touch of coconut. Taste is slightly dry, fruity hoppy and toasty malty, notes of blue and red berries, a cautious earthy-spicy touch of corresponding shrubs, nutty malty background with subtle sweetness.

Bottle from the outlaws- cheers! Golden-amber with a thin white head and a pleasant sparkle. Fruity aroma and initial flavour, with malt and straw developing. Moderate, crisp, but well-balanced bitterness. Simple, but tasty, satisfying and somehow elegant bitter. Pretty good stuff.

Cask at Jolly Sailors, Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk. Clear, pale amber. No head. Fruity aroma. Some caramel. Taste is fruity dry. Had this a dozen times before and always liked it. Caught it on a bad day, this time, I think.

BCA picked up at Branthill Farm Beer shop, Wells-Next-The Sea, Norfolk 04-07-09 Pours amber little head noted. There is plenty of yeast in suspension but to be fair it was a bad pour by yours truly and after a while it had settled quite well. Nice malty nose. The taste is simple, lightly malty, nice sweetness throughout with some good juicy fruit to balance things out, there is also some hoppiness there but more in a supporting role. I like this beer as it is just a simple uncomplicated session beer. A7 A3 F7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Cask at The Jolly Sailors, Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk, 28-04-07. Far too weak to be considered a proper IPA in my opinion but this aside, it poured a warm golden colour had a maltiness about the nose, whilst there was nothing desperately wrong with this beer it was a bit thin and lacking in all departments really but I suppose it would be a good if unexciting session beer.

Cask at The Jolly Sailors, Brancaster Staithe, Norfolk, 28-04-07. Tried this next to the IPA and whilst this was the better of the two I found both beers to be slightly underwhelming. Poured amber in colour, lacking a bit in aroma but there was a slight hoppiness. Taste was better and both Bob and myself found the best part of this beer was the lingering bitterness which incidentally the IPA lacked, otherwise it was a bit thin and lacking for it’s strength.
