Description
Started brewing in November 2003. A 5BBL plant is used, which is located in a container behind the pub. Brewing ceased on-site following a takeover of the pub in Autumn 2008, but restarted brewed under contract initially at The Iceni Brewery and later at Beeston Brewery Ltd.

Panda, thanks to SHIG, split at the Grand Reunion Tasting, Watford 02/10/20. Chestnut brown with a decent beige cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is fruit esters, brown bread, hint of strawberry pips, grains. Taste comprises brown bread, nutty tinge, fruit rinds, dark malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for the style.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a orange with a bubble white head. Aroma is fruity, malty. Taste is a citrusy, resin, leafy malts.

Growler shared in Watford - cheers! Pours clear copper with a small, bubbly head. Lightly sweet, a little astringent, leaves and earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter finish, astringent, leafy. Not great.

Growler power thanks to shig. A clear nut brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is nutty dusty malts, nutty, dried fruit. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, apple slice, nutty malts, toast, light tang, tart. Palate is semi sweet, tart, low carbonation.

26/9/2020. Bottle shared with SHIG, bought at Real Ale Shop, Wells. Pours clear dark amber/copper with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, dried fruits and stewed fruits. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a touch of tart. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Berries and prunes to finish. Interesting and quite enjoyable.

15/8/2020. Bottle from Norfolk Food & Drink Co, Cromer. Pours clear amber/copper with a large fluffy off-white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, zesty orange, malt and biscuit. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Chocolate orange biscuit finish. Quite liked it, though it was a bit fizzy.

1/12/2018. Bottle from Real Ale Shop, Wells and shared at the 1st Kesgrave 50/50 bottle share. Pours clear bright gold with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, fruit and biscuit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Dry, biscuit finish. Not bad.

Oily texture, average carbonation. Malty, fruity finish, minimal bitterness. Easy drinking sessionable bitter.
