Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a white clear with white foamy head that dissipated fast. Aroma is rhubarb, underlying sweetness. Taste is sweet honey and rhubarb, a real treat almost candy, very interesting combo.

16/5/2020. Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Pours clear, almost colourless - just a light pink tint - with a small short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma is sweet, stewed rhubarb, icing sugar and honey. Quite sweet with a subtle tart edge. Sweet and sticky finish.

330ml bottle from trade courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Clear very pale pinkish colour, short-lived bubbly white head and aroma of rhubarb & custard. Taste is sweet, honey, sugary, with some rhubarb and light biscuity notes. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet honey & rhubarb finish. Quite OK.

330ml bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Clear very pale rose pink colour. Pleasant fruity rhubarb aroma. Bright carbonation. Definitely getting a rhubarb and custard sweet feel with this, nice summery rhubarb, not too much honey. Interesting, refreshing. Likin it.

330ml bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Pours clear very pale yellow. Aroma is herbal, nettley, some mild citra. Nicely carbonated, interesting hoppy presence, not particularly zesty or citrussy but bears a crisp herbal bitterness, more honey notes here than the ginger mead. Interesting, refreshing, accessible.

330ml bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Drunk during the Corona virus outbreak. Pours absolutely clear, much like ginger beer. Aroma of ginger root. Lightly carbonated, pleasant ginger beer character.. expected more noticeable honey notes, very light and drinkable overall, no alcohol presence at all. Good, but not jumping out as a mead so marked down slightly.

Bottle from the Grumpy Goat, Reading. Very pale peach colour with a light fizz. Fresh rhubarb and rhubarb & custard sweets are nice. The vinegar hiding behind is not. Lives up to the sweet and sour bottle description, but the vinegar is just plain wrong in what would otherwise be a nice light summery drink.
