20/12/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear pale golden with minimally bubbly head. Aroma of honey, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, flowers, wood. Quite sweet with light boozy bitterness. Medium body, sticky, low carbonation. Warming boozy alcohol finish, its abv coming through. Nice sipper. Rerated 28/6/2024 from bottle at source. More oaky vanilla. Best on offer here.

28/6/2024. Tap at Hive Mind Mead & Brew Co, Caldicot. Now branded as Hive Mind. Pours unclear pale red with a small bubbly white pink head. Aroma is floral, honey, cherry, lightly medicinal, vanilla, cherry pop soda. Medium sweetness, light sourness. Moderate body, slightly watery, sparkling carbonation. Drying tart finish. Grower.

Can. Nose is honey, floral. Taste is honey, sugar, lemony, sherbet. Refreshing and very like a soft drink. I found myself checking it actually had booze in. Cheerful

330ml bottle. Clear dull yellow gold. Aroma of very floral honey. Taste of sweet honey, very floral, other than some mild citrusy/herbal notes the Citra really isn't obvious. Disappointing.

330ml bottle, still carrying the Wye Valley Meadery name rather than Hive Mind. Pours a crystal clear slightly pink tinted colour, no head. Aroma is floral, honey. Taste is the same it's very floral, plenty of sweet honey, rhubarb is subtle and I certainly didn't get tangy or sour flavours from this. It's pleasant enough though, drinks like a sweet summery soft drink to be honest.

Panda thanks to Ed. A clear, petrol yellow coloured pour with a fading bubbles. Aroma is cane sugars, boozy banana bread, alcohol, paint, oak, earthy honey. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, alcohol, oak notes, banana, vanilla notes. Punchy stuff. hits lighter than the 20% tag. Palate is semi sweet, oily, rounded, still.
