At the source. Misty orange color, off-white head. Aroma is a bit smoky mixed with orange peel notes somehow, at least that's what it reminds me of. Flavor is wheat, slightly a tart hint and a tad sweetish yeasty banana. Medium to full body, but annoying high fizzy carbonation. Meh. 5-4-6-2-9.

At the source. Amber color (yes Caesar, Helmut Bernstein, de bonkige spits von Würzberg) with an off-white head. Smell and taste malts, nice and smooth rauch, a bit sweet, malty base underneath. Full body, suitable carbonation. Good, very pleasant. 7-5-8-4-15.

At the source. A bit hazy yellow color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hayish, slightly some herbal bitter notes, fairly bitter. Decent body, firm carbonation. 6-4-7-2-14.

Bottle from Beer Zoo. It pours clear deep amber with a thick, foamy beige head. The aroma is rich and oily, great smoked character, cured ham, wood, brown bread and cakey almost. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, oily, moderate smoke, oak, light tannin, earth, brown bread and nips of spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Strikes a nice balance and for me rather drinkable stuff.

Fruity aroma (banana, grapes) Taste has a hint of beechwood. Bitter, woody finish. Dry mouthfeel. Decent beer, but not entirely convincing.

Ruby brown color. Strong smoked ham aroma with apple. Smoked ham flavor with a strong underlying peach and mango fruitiness. The smoked flavor is evident, but less uncompromising as the Heller Schlenkerla Märzen. Lovely beer!

Pours a huge, frothy head. Cloudy with bits of yeast floating. Milk and cheese in the aroma. Very complex flavor with oak, chesse, hops, vanilla and a hint of smokiness. Very unusual, but well made and pleasant lager.

Malty and sugary aroma with peach and only a hint of smoke. Sweet, malty falvor with tropical fruit, brown sugar and hints of smoke. Good beer, but less character than expected.

Amber color, Smoked ham aroma. Full bodied, malty, a light smokiness in the flavor. Hints of peach and butter. Fairly low on carbon. Excellent, would be very suited as my daytime beer.
