Draught @ Spezial, Bamberg. Pours hazy golden with a fluffy white head and lacings. Suddued smoke and some bitter fresh hops in the nose. Medium and soft carbonation/body. Quite smoked and hoppy flavor for a Spezial beer. Quite like a great mix of their Rauch Lager and Ungespundets. Ends dry , bitter and hoppy. Very nice.

On tap at Birch & Barley in D.C served in a snifter. Pours clear amber with small off-white head. Low carbonation, medium body, and a little lacing. Taste is light malt (some caramel), smoke, and a hint of bitter hops in the finish.

Cloudy blond color. The aroma is a bit stale, sourish. The flavor is boring; it’s just more bitter than the average. Maybe not fresh, but for sure I didn’t enjoy it much.

bottle.Copper colour with medium head.Aroma of bacon and smoked pork and malt,stays smoked and malty with some caramel flavor,good well balanced with mild finish.

Bottle @ Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Pours clear amber with a small off white head. Nose is sweet malty and with mild notes of smoke and bacon. Flavors are sweet malts, caramel, rye, sugar and subdued smoke. Medium bodied. Re-rate: Christmas 18. Chewy and bad ass Malty. Soft campfire. Delicious treat from tap at the source. 3,5 - 4,1

Herb-süffiger Antrunk mit nebensächlichem Hopfen. Die Herbe ist dabei extrem trocken und breitet sich im Mittelteil aus. Recht herb bleibend, nie aber bitter. Sehr süffig, stark getreidig und blumig. 10/11/11/10//11
