Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized foamy and longlasting head, some lace. Aroma is wheat, some fruity and flowery notes along with mild herbal touch. Flavour is quite much the same along with some slight yeastyness and dishwateryness.

Bottle at EBF 08. haze russet. Lasting beige on tap. Malts are quite fruity. Butter though. Strawberry. Decent hop and decent fruit. Alcohol isn’t too obvious, but gives it a good body.

Bottle at EBF 08. Amber, slight haze, lasting beige head. Some butter on aroma and in mouth. Maybe diacetyl, maybe should be like this. Quite English in character. Toffeeish. OK hop on finish. Not keen on the butter.

Bottle at EBF 08. Cloudy brown. That’s quite a dry cereal wheat. Esters on aroma. Some lemon. then lovely raspberry and lime in mouth. Needs a bit of acidity. Works really well.

Had this on tap at the Cockney Pub, Aarhus 16-09-08 (also have been given a bottle by Kim Johannsen, cheers Kim Pours amber with some orange with a white head. Taste is quite sharp with some unripe satsuma or mandarin the bitterness clings sweetness is there and sits under the tongue and not so much of it. Really looking forward to the bottle from Kim.

Had this at the European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven 13-09-08 Very nice but maybe a mistake after the Dark Lord. Pours classic amber in colour with white head, good string bitter characteristics.

Slightly hazy red brown with a small off-white head. Anise is unfortunately allowed to dominate the aroma completely - behind it are subtle notes of hops and of fruity english yeast. Flavour is sweetish and fruity, with a vineous note, but again with too much spice. Body is deliciously full with a touch of warming alcohol.

Had this at The European Beer Festival, Kobenhaven, 12-09-08. Punchy citrussy beer, real good and quit zappy. This drinks far too easily for the abv. Some orange and tangerine flavour’s. Strangely the aroma was nothing like I expected and if anything was a little cheesy?

Big lasting brown head. Nearly opaque black body goes dark red at edges. Deep harmonic roasty chocolate aroma with grainy rye notes. Soft, intense, rounded burnt grainy chocolate taste with alcohol notes. Some alcohol heat. Leaves sticky sugars on the lips. Dry-acidic grainy chocolate aftertaste with burnt coffee notes. Very, very nice. Really a beer out of the ordinary. (0.1l taster bottled at EBF ’08.)
