Bottle from a Montego Bay supermarket. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, earthy, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet and liquorice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, light caramel, chocolate, warm boozy liquorice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle in Kingston Jamaica. Yeasty bready aroma. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, light, malty, bready, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. It’s ok. It’s not the worst beer in the world.

After 11 days of the same beer (Red Stripe), finally found something different at the airport - the Light version! Very pale gold with a chill haze, a bubbly white head and a cereal aroma. Relatively fizzy with a soft sweetish lemony vibe on top of the cereal malt, very light with a little kick ahead of a moderately dry finish.

Had plenty of these over the course of 10 nights at Princess Senses The Mangrove, Green Island, Jamaica (the only beer available). Not the most challenging of lagers, but my scoring may be heightened due to the sun and relaxation being enjoyed! Clear pale gold with a chill haze, a bubbly white head and a sweet cereal malt aroma. Cold and fizzy, sweet soft cereal malt, just a little kick of citrus bitterness and a dryish finish.

Smaller 3$ bottle from vintage. Pour is quite black with a tan head that fades rather quickly. Nose is somewhat impy stout, a little sweet and just a tad volatile. Liquid does not appear viscous like many impy stouts. First thing I notice on the taste is its quite sweet. Can't find many of the good impy stout attributes in this stuff. You get right down to the point with DR Fire. Slight burning sensation on the way down the throat. Boozy, almost artificial spiked added grain alky character. Goes down fairly easy without too much of a gag reflex, hehehh. I think this was designed to do one thing really good; after a few bottles of this stuff you'll be seeing nothing wrong in the world around you. Yea, designed to bring on that feeling of mixed of euphoria, relaxation, lowered inhibitions, accompanied by physical sensations of warmth, dizziness, and decreased coordination. Yes, an artificial candified example of an imperial stout. There, you have it. Wahllah, just a sweet boozy ethanol bomb of a cheapo impy stout ! Finish? Whew, I did it. I don't think I picked up any significant carbonation during this wallop of a session.

Deep brown with a finger of tan head. Medium to thin body. Sweet caramel, dark malts, chocolate, a faint pretense of roasted malt. Finish is caramel and sweet. Mid at best.

Bottle, best before Apr 4, 2027, drunk Mar 6, 2026.
Smells super estery and phenolic with lots of pepper, anise and possibly DMS and stale coffee ground. Really not excited to take a sip of this!
Thin, sugary (adjunct sugar), estery to the max with a ton of bubble gum and cotton candy. Just an absolute travesty of brewing. I think I had a dragon stout 23 years ago before I knew what craft beer was. Well, this is not it. Just awful, poorly-brewed stuff.
