Description
Founded by Oliver Hughes & Liam Lahart, the Porterhouse Brew Co. are Ireland's pioneers of craft beer. Opening Ireland's first brewpub in the heart of Dublin, Temple Bar. Nowadays with a chain of successful bars in Dublin, London and New York the company is now producing from a state of the art brewery located in Glasnevin, Dublin. The expansion to the 120 barrel brewing facility in 2017 helps service our own bars but provides quality beer outside of the bars to consumers throughout Ireland while exporting to over 20 markets globally. The Porterhouse Brew Co. is proud to be a fully run independent brewery with a focus on consistency, quality and innovation.

Bottle from Garthicus, thanks! Dark amber color. Plums and grassy hops in the aroma. Malty sweet, earthy floral and grassy hopbitter flavor. Slightly alcoholic, dominant hops. Hints of oak. Very nice!

Bottle. Black. Roast, coffee and licorice in the aroma. Licorice, apple syrup and roast in the slightly alcoholic flavor. Medium bodied. Licorice and coffee in the finish. Not too sweet. Well made stout.

Pours light yellow, slightly hazy . Good carbonation. The cocktail of hops is too complex (6 different ones? Seriously?) to distinguish any specific one nor their typicities.

Draught, pint. @«Porterhouse Temple Bar», Dublín (Ireland). 15/08/2019. Putch black colour with a medium tan head. Aroma is roastef malts, soft licorice and coffee beans. Taste is medium roasty soft watery and ashes. Next one please!

Draught, pint. @«Porterhouse Temple Bar», Dublin (Ireland). 15/08/2019. Clear golden colour with a medium white head, good retention. Aroma is citrusy hops, soft aromatic and floral. Taste is medium floral leading to a citrudy finish. Next one please!

Draft at the Porterhouse Bar in Dublin Dark brown bordering on black but some light still gets through. Rich caramel and light chocolate maltiness with bits of roast and licorice. Pretty stand up English style porter.

0.33 l bottle. Thanks Marko! Shared with Mlađo Mods. Cola colour, red tint, small off-white head. Aroma is roasty, toasty, papery, slightly burnt. Slightly salty. Burnt. Light herbal touch. Sweetness. Spicy caramely finish, slightly sweet. Drinkable, light to medium body.
