Description
The brewery was set up at the end of 2004 in a beautiful farmhouse called “L’Olmaia” in Val D’Orcia, near Siena, Tuscany, initially as a small firm producing up to 300 litres per batch.
In 2009 it was relocated a few kilometers to the east in the area of Sant’Albino, near Montepulciano, where the products could be sold directly to the public. Throughout the year we produce 6 types of beer, plus some special seasonal beers, all of which are strictly unpasteurized, unfiltered and re-fermented, both in the keg and in the bottle. The production plant was built, according to our production needs, by the company Tefo of Parma, and it now has a production capacity of 2,500 litres per batch thanks to 4 cylindroconical fermentation tanks with a capacity of 2,500 litres and 2 with a capacity of 1,500 litres.
Inside the Brewery you can find the Tap Room with 6 beers on tap, cold cuts, cheeses and bottled beers.

Bottled 330ml. -at Pivopija Beograd (Zemun). Almost black coloured, medium sized brown head, mild chocolate nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, mild hop bitterness but all in all pretty thin. Bitterish chocolate finish. Expected better.

Bottle, 75cl. A cloudy dark amber beer with a dense, light beige head leaving some lacings. The aroma has an acidic touch, with dried fruits, and a touch of fresh fruits. The flavor is a bit too acidic, with a faint roasted touch. Prunes, some raisins, a little bitterness and some fruity sourness. Full body and a pleasant, soft carbonation. Long finish with fruityness, some prunes and a sour touch. Rather uninteresting this one, wonder if the acidity is intentional. 141213

750ml bottle, 8 % abv, from Vinmonopolet Bestillingsutvalget. Unclear dark brown coloured body. Dotted spots on the glassware. Tiny off-white head. Aromas of brown malts and honey, with a little tartness beneath. Malt-fruity flavours of plums, sweet berries, some Christmas spices, and brown malts. Dry, tart and sweet ending. So and so. It did not managed to create any Christmas feel in August (shared with Stefan, Elisabeth and Finn, session at Finns, Tromsø 07.08.2014).
