Description
Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak has spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the greatest UK breweries, including North Brew Co, Partizan, Beavertown, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. We've now laid roots in our hometown of Lewes in East Sussex, where we've built a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and taproom with a mixed-fermentation project and weekend street food canteen. Please come and say hi!

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours pretty much jet black with minimal beige head. Aroma is strong and boozy with plenty of chocolate and coffee, plus some toffee later on. In the mouth, alcoholic strength is the first thing which commands attention. This is followed by bitter coffee grounds, cocoa nibs, dark chocolate and a hint of liquorice. Finish is warming ! A nice fireside sipper, but strength overshadows the stout characteristics.

Can from Trembling Madness , 22nd October 2021. Pours a good looking light hazy orange, firm frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, pine and light spice. Taste is beautifully balanced the Nelson shines well, light pepper, citrus and citra play on the background, well integrated, balanced and well executed. Great beer from a brewery that’s really pushing out some great beers ATM

Very nice hazy light orange and good foam. Really good fresh tangerine aroma, mandarin orange, orange zest. Taste is bitter hops, soft sweetness, ending a little wet. Some good elements but pulls back at the wrong time.
