Can at home. Pours dark brown with thin beige head, cloudy. Aroma of roasted malt, tobacco, ashes, coffee, drain. Taste slightly bitter and fruity, with notes of coffee. Dry and with bitter finish. Thin bodied.

Shared can at the yuletide beer tasting on board Fridtjofen 13th and 14th of December 2019. Clear copper. Aroma and taste of malt, biscuits, berries and spices. Slightly oxidised.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Slightly misty golden-brown body. Filmy layer, poor lacing. Moderate smell of almond. Satisfying taste profile with almond to the fore backed by dried apricot. Ends rather dry with almond lingering on. Medium bodied. Fair enough. (With the lamb meat at Christmas Eve, Tromsø 24.12.2019).

Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of coffee, wooden barrels and dark chocolate. Sweet with a salty wooden barrels and coffee ending. Not bad.

Forholdsvis pålitelige notater fra årets maritime juleølsmaking ombord på Fridtjofen: 0,33 boks. Klar kobberfarge med fint skum som varer. Malt, kjeks, urter og saftig citrus. Lettdrikkelig, dog uten å gi noe julestemning.

Klargjøring for en ny arbeidsøkt under dekk på Fridtjofen des-19: en 0,33 boks fra bryggeriet med maritime assosiasjoner. Brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Røstet malt, franskbrent espresso, lakrissjokolader. God, halvtørr bitterhed med et snev av Tuxi forte. Absolut mersmak.
