Tap @ Qvarteret. Unclear golden body under a small, next to nothing white head. Aroma has cucumber, a light hint of lime and cooked vegetables. Taste has quite smooth and soft malt, lots of cucumber, hint of lime, some mild acidity and minerals. I think I had preferred some more lime flavor to give a more refreshing impressing as this feels a bit too much after about half a glass. Still, I love this kind of experimental brews outside the ‘’mango’’ box. I have only tasted three cucumber beers before and they are ale quite different, but probably tasted more than 100 mango flavored beers that’s almost the same.
On tap at Qvarteret. Typical for cucumber beers, there's lots of cucumber going on, with an added earthy, mouldy touch reminiscent of that earthy touch in beetroots. Lightly sour, very refreshing, but I still don't think using cucumber in beer is a good idea. Luckily I sort of got used to the flavor after some sips. 545412 250830

Enkeltmannspakke (0,33) fra Vaaland 1889, hjemme: nesten helt klar lys gylden med fint skum. En frisk og passe syrlig pils som fungerte helt greit til rekesmørbrødene.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Slightly hazy deep amber colour, good frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, caramel, honey, apricot, yeast, candy sugar, herbal hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, yeast, caramel, spicy notes, alcohol, candy sugar. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, syrup notes, alcohol, grainy notes, bit unbalanced, nice.

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen, thanks to Bergstaden for sharing. Covering white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, misty golden body. Aromas of mid-sweet pale malts and fruity hops. Malt-fruity flavours, lemony hops and pale malts. Distant bitter endnotes. Easy to drink. Decent. (Trondheim, 01.08.2025).

Superficial tasting at Kristiansand matfestival 2025. Unclear golden body under a white head. Malt based with hint of bread and moderate bitterness. A decent low calorie pilsner style beer indeed.
