500 ml bottle, as Stjørdalsbryggeriet Skarven Märzen Lager, batch 04, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Copper colour, large off-white head. Very moderate aroma, but not unpleasant, hints of caramel and wood. Medium dry flavour, some wood, a touch of caramel, but not really sweet. Too moderate hops. Drinkable, but not exciting.

500 ml bottle, batch 06, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Brown colour, slightly hazy. Moderate head, slghtly off-white. Malty aroma, notes of smoked malts but not intense, hints of prunes. Nice flavour, medium dry, a slight fruitiness makes it very drinkable. The smoked stjørdalsmalt is very subdued. Low bitterness.

500 ml bottle, batch 5, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Moderate aroma of smoked stjørdalsmalt, hints of bonfires and smoked meat. The flavour is light and refreshing with moderate fruity notes, fairly dry, the smoked malts are very subdued. Okay.

Gylden brun, noe tåkete med to fingre høyt tykt beige skum. Godt med humlelukt, grapefrukt, blomster og lett fersken. Noe karamellmalt kan også kjennes. Tidlig medium bitter helt ut. Middels fylde. Fruktig sødme i bakgrunnen.

Fra flaske (brygg nr. 8, bb. juni-15) på RBHD-samling på Fridtjofen april-15: en gusher! Men det høje beige skummet faller raskt i glasset. Lukter surt og røyk. Mykkje malt og lite humle... Ikke bare jeg som slo restene i vasken.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Gusher bottle. Brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of smoked stjørdalsmalt, smoked meat and wood. Fizzy and thin mouthfeel. Dry flavour, a slight acidity, moderate smoked malts. Uninteresting, and definitely not my cup of tea.

Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 14.04.15. A gusher. Aroma of sour, dry malt and dried vomit. Taste is similar, but slightly better with a more.complex malt taste. A taste that I have not quite aquired yet.

Smaksprøve fra Rune. Gyldenbrun. Lavt, litt farget skum. Forsiktig fruktig aroma. Smaken litt vassen. Tørket frukt. Plommer. Blir veldig tørr etter hvert.

500ml bottle, brygg 03, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Trondheim. Fair pearl white head that stayed fine over a cloudy apricot colored body. Lacing rings down the glass. Dusty hops on the nose, mid-dry. Fruit hoppy flavours of orange, peach, and pine nicely supported by a dry bitter finish. Soft in the mouth. Successful partner to our roasted chicken food (Tromsø 12.04.2015).

Smaksprøve forært av Rune. Mørk amber. Uklar. Lavt luftig skum med litt farge. Forsiktig maltaroma. Hint av bær. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken har preg av skog & lyng. En anelse røyk i ettersmaken.
