500ml bottle, brygg 002, carried back home from Gulating Ølutsalg in Trondheim. Brewery’s description: Märzen Lager. Det perfekte påskebrygg. Creamy off-white head, some of it remaining. Dotted spots on the glass. Clear amber coloured body. Inviting brown malty nose, hints of caramel, chocolate and earth. Modest flavours of caramel malts joined by herbal hops leading to a mild bittersweet ending. Smooth on the swallow. Fine partner to our salmon pie (Tromsø 03.04.2015).

500ml bottle, brygg nr.01, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Trondheim. A frothy, noisy white head. A solid wheat haze to a golden body. Fair lacework. Mid-sweet spiced fruity aroma. Well balanced flavour of coriander and mid-sweet fruits on a backbone of wheat. The banana part is minimal. Tolerable sweet ending. Decent version of the style (hotel room 18.03.2015).

Fin øl, men ville vel ikke gjettet på en US IPA, mangler litt trøkk fra humla.

Forventet mer, virket litt tynn og vandig, men det er kanskje meg og forventningene mine som er feilen. Må vel teste den igjen.

Bottle. It’s a clear, brown beer with a dense, beige head. The aroma is on the malty side, with caramel and a light smoked touch. Not much fruityness going on, except some hints of dried fruits. It’s medium bodied and soft on palate, mostly on the dry side. There’s a pleasant smoke touch in the flavor too, quite subtle. Caramel and some dried fruits too. Lasting finish with the smoke lingering in a nice way. A pleasant one that would be very intersting at a slightly higher ABV. 140623

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a nice off-white head on top. Pale malts with a faint hint of caramel in the far back of the aroma. Some citrus peel and a floral touch too. It’s lightly sweet on the palate, with a dry impression. Medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated. A pleasant bitterness in the flavor, with some grassy, citrusy notes. Medium length finish with bitterness and malty flavors. An easy drinkable one, slightly more interesting and flavorful than Cassino. 140623

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with a dense, off-white head. The aroma has pale malts in the back, with a pleasant flowery touch and orangey hops. It tastes quite sweet, but feels dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Medium body. Floral notes, orange peel and flowers in the flavor, with some pale malts in the back. Bitter, fruity and flowery finish. An easy drinkable beer, quite refreshing. 140623

Flaske delt på RBHD-samlingen hos Asle Bjørn: fint utseende og behagelig citrusaroma. Lett og frisk, men taper seg fort. Dvask ettersmak, kan det skyldes den beskjedne humlebruken?

Slightly hazy golden. Off-white head. Aroma of dried fruits and a hint of pepper. A bit unfresh mouthfeel aftertaste. A blonde ale could have done with more hops.
