Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a copper color with a quarter finger’s worth of white foamy head. Quick fade, and no lace.
The aroma had some freshly cut grass, light wood and some biscuit-like malts. Light earthy/leathery side notes.
The flavor wants to be sweet but has that sneaky sort of earthy/herbal/biscuit malty dryness flowing over some cereal/earthy/barnyard leafiness. Aftertaste is all about the malts with a quick snappy sort of earthy finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Sturdy carbonation and decent ABV.
Overall, tis good. I’d have again with some fish and chips.

The appearance was a light golden copper color with a cap of a little white head. Sliding lace.
The aroma had some sweet grainy to doughy/breadiness with a light crisp clean grassy hops underneath.
The flavor sticks to the sweet portion of the doughy/bready malts and then wraps itself around some light hops to meld into the aftertaste and finish.
The feel was light bodied, extremely sessionable, with a crushability able to take down probably four growlers in a session and not feel a thing.
Overall, think I liked this one and goes great with brats being shoved down my throat. Make sure that extra spicy mustard is on the brats, because that and this is great going down, but just don’t think about the next day (call your local sewer plant before you go to the toilet, just saying).

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a black color with a thick two fingers foamy off white head. Slow dissipation causes some messy clingy lace.
The aroma had some cocoa power, sweet dark malts, and mild ash.
The flavor leaned towards the sweetness of the cocoa powder. Ashy dryness comes in acceptable sort of way. Mild ashy to cocoa powdery sort of aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt right. Some chalkiness in the feel.
Overall, pretty good Irish dry stout. I didn’t mind that ashiness in it, but perhaps a bit different.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a milk brown color with a thick white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Some light stringy lace.
The aroma had some soft sweet nuts, nice smooth sweet malty/breadiness. And just a tickle of caramel at the end. Light milk chocolate. Light on the grassy hops.
The flavor leads with a sweet blend of nuts to bready malts and balancing in the hops ever so slightly. Mostly sweet aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Sly carbonation. ABV felt appropriately done right by the brewer.
Overall, nicely done brown ale worthy of having again, preferably as a dessert beer and in either mid Spring or mid Autumn.

Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a dark brown color with a foamy eggshell white colored head. Nice speckled lace.
The aroma had some caramel and roasted malts, touch of sugar.
The flavor was basically the same with some burnt toast to it. Sweet malty to almost sugary aftertaste. Quick sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation. Pretty smooth along my tongue. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, I can see it as suggested by the brewer, but did it really come together as expected? In my opinion, not as much. It wasn’t bad, it just seemed to lean sweeter than I had hoped for.

Bottle. A- White pepper, cloves, coriander, subtle orange. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Subtle white chocolate, coriander, spices. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- Not sure where the white chocolate sweetness came from but overall this was a very tasty beer. Balanced well considering all the spices going on. Not overwhelming or overpowering at all.

Best before December 6th 2017

A small pop when I pulled the cork out, it pours a clear reddish brown with a finger of off white foam. Lacing is impressive

Loads of caramel malt in the smell with some dark pitted fruit that’s on the subtle side. The sweet seems likely to be influenced by candi sugar, I reckon.

Tastes of caramel malt and probably a bit of oxidation. Dark fruits are a mild presence. Candi sugar here but doesn’t cause any over sweetness. Alcohol is definitely there and brings oodles of warming.

Close to a syrupy mouthfeel, I really do like this Quad.

Hazy gold with small head of foam, some floaties. Has June 10th 2015 on the label.

Raisin soaked bread , other dark fruits and some oxidation in the smell.

Tastes like it smells, booze isn’t overly present. On the sweet side with the mouthfeel bordering on the syrupy side. A very nice drop!
