Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, butter, straw, and caramel, leading to a stinging finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

Clear golden color with a thick head, which fades regularly. Aroma is very hoppy, light bittered, and grassy with a bit of sweet fruit-citrus. The esters are adding a bit too the sweet side of the citrus. Flavor is clean and lightly peachy esters with some light bubblegum hops. It finishes easy and is in general a clean lager with a clean hop profile. Nice job by the brewer.

Sample #8 at GTMW. Hey, I remarked to the pourer how they must be the brewer that’s traveled furthest to get here, and he gifted me with a shaker glass (but didn’t pour beer in it). Solid brown color, but very clear, with no haze at all. Thin head. Definitely a smoky smell, a little bacony. Smoky sip, nice malt base. Good, solid beer mouthfeel. I just wasn’t sure what the test wanted to be, but it was still very nice. Like many smoke beers, it’s bit aggressive for just relaxing with. I needed cheese and I wasn’t near that tent yet.

Sample at the 2009 Parkville Microbrew Fest. Pour is a very cloudy yellow golden with a smallish white head. Aroma of big bubblegum, also quite sweet. Fruit strip gum, more or less. Behind the bright yeast is some decent wheat malt graininess, though it certainly in the far back seat. Taste is more of the bubble gum sweetness, along with some banana fruit and the wheat. Palate was medium to light, smooth and pretty drinkable. Overall, the over the top Hefe yeastiness of this was a bit too much for me, tone that down and there would be a pretty nice beer here.

Tap at KCBM competition. Pours is completely clear amber. Aroma is hoppy with citrus and tangerine hops, just a beautiful medley of citrus and tropical fruit hops. Taste losses some of that crispy hoppiness, still clean and a bit of slickness-like flavor coming off.
