The juiciest black IPA I’ve had, and one of my faves. Light roasted malts, highlighted hops. Black is effing beautiful.

Got this ‘licious mutha as a freebie in a great trade. Great brew to slowly sip on as the night grows longer.

Very crisp, perfectly clear golden coloured body with a nice peach glow and a fast-dying tan head, about three centimetres tall at first, but fading to just a sliver on top. Aroma of light malts, biscuits, lemons, pale grain, a touch of caster sugar and ending with a hint of metallic astringency. Light-bodied; Very crisp grassy, herbal and floral malts with a dry characteristic and some smooth sugars from fruit coming towards the end, with a touch of metal astringency and twang that finishes this off. Aftertaste is crisp and quite bitter, with the floral and very grassy malt notes dominating, but some sugars do come through towards the end, along with a slight lemon and citrus finish. Overall, a fairly nice light, crisp and balanced true pilsner that hits all the right marks, while showing both character and complexity. Nice to try and welcome for the style and locality! Thanks Colleen for sharing this one with me! I sampled this twelve ounce can, given to me by my coworker, pulled of a cruise ship (local) in Annapolis, Maryland, sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-October-2020.

Super clear golden colored body with a very thick and dense off-white head that stays afloat for a long time. Aroma of floral and grassy hops with some light biscuity malts with a pervasive cleanser-like and soapy scent with a touch of alcohol noticeable at the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive yeastie and bready flavour at first with a nice Belgian yeast strain present and a touch of softer sugars and graininess noticeable with the grassy and very floral hop bitterness that is quite pungent, especially at the end. Aftertaste is deep and yeastie with nice complexities arising from that in addition to the deep floral and perfumey hops that show some light bitterness at the end. Overall,  a very nice, relatively strong IPA that shows good flavours all around, but especially the flowers, sugars, grassiness and the yeast strain most of all that makes this sort of in the middle between a plain East Coast IPA and a Belgian-styled (yeasted) IPA, sort of a 'Raging Bitch Light'. Nice to sample, especially fresh! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 24-July-2020 for US$2,33, sampled at my house here in Washington on 11-August-2020.

16oz can from Tavour. Part of Freshfest bundle. Hazy straw color, lasting creamy cap. Musty, tropical fruit aromas. More big fruity flavors with the hops providing a pronounced, abrupt bite to finish. Very drinkable and tasty.

16 oz. Aroma is cantaloupe, grapefruit peel, pineapple, passionfruit, Big Dip stix. Pours hazy orange-golden with a one finger bone-white head that falls into a ring pretty quickly. Taste is moderately bittersweet, a little grainy, near boozy. Has an odd, not necessarily bad, licorice note. Pretty good overall.

12 ounce can. Amber gold pour. Creamy beige head. Sharp citrus hop aroma. Notes of pineapple and green onion. Intense bittersweet citrus hop flavor. Strong resiny notes as well. A bit thin bodied for a Double IPA. Still, a big, complex brew worth seeking out.

12 ounce can. Amber gold color. Brief tan head. Toasted malt nose hints at dank citrus. Flavor delivers dank citrus, mango and pineapple. Boozy notes in middle warm the chest. It’s sticky and sweet, as promised. Nice DIPA outta Baltimore.
