Pours a nice copper out of the bottle. Aroma is very earthy and malty. Flavor is hoppy but not over the top. Its a very mild and laid back hoppyness. Lots of spicy bitterness at the end as well. A nice mild brew.

Pale yellow, with a decent head. Smells like a grassy, wheaty beer with hints of banana. Flavor is tart, grassy, and plain. Finishes bitter and slightly dry. So far, the only brew from Sam Smith’s that i didn’t particularly care for.

Bottle 62F poured very dark brown with a thick tan head that has retreated to a film that will not go away. Leaving massive lacing. Aroma is a very rich sweet chocolate and coffee. Delicious. Taste is a bit different. The coffee is there but a bit more bitter. Almost a sour slant. A bit of a let down from the aroma. Not quite as full and rich as I was hoping but still very good. Aftertaste is smoke and coffee and the feel is soft and silky. One of my faves.

English slightly dusty hops, leather and butter notes. Hazy golden, no head. Barnyard, leather dust and dust flavors in the background, fresh herbal hops in the foreground, citrussy aftertaste. Sparkly mouthfeel, medium body. Quite nice.

Somewhat dusty hops (citrus and pine). Amber, Champagne bubbles, creamy head. Citrussy taste-notes on cookie malt with dusty spices, dry aftertaste. Medium body, pleasant fizzy mouthfeel.

Nice amber brown color, with a small head. Smell is slightly malty and nutty, as is the taste. Kind of coppery, but not bad. Not the greatest offering from SS, but it’s not bad by any means.

Bottle. Pours a good hearty amber-orange/peach with some light coppers. Good sized white foamy head. Aroma of light hops and plenty of toasted malt and some lightly sweet toffee/caramel. Flavor starts out with a hint of bitter hops, a good dose of light fruit hints (light raspberries and nectarines) and then develops a big sweetness from the malt. It’s that typical sam smiths yeast flavor mixed with toasty toffeeness. A good bitter, but sticks to the palate and gets a bit too malty and boring towards the end. As with most filtered light beers, seems a bit lifeless.

Bottle. Black color with a big beige haed. Aroma of a slight roastiness and some sweetness, but not much there. What this beer is is very smooth. There’s a slight sourness at first, but it gives way to a big milk chocolate flavor with some roastiness, and a sweet creamy smoothness. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Balanced oatmeal flavor (unlike most oatmeal stouts). It doesn’t overpower, but there’s a lingering oatmeal-ness at the end.

A bit fuity of an aroma for a porter. Definite grape componant. Even when poured carefully, a persistant dk tan head makes itself known. Very dark. Fist impression is buttery, smooth, and woody/smokey like I think Porters should be. A bit more fizz than I am uesd to for the genre, fuitiness is not here anymore and a bit more bitter trailing aftertaste. Soft and smooth going down. I definately wont mind finishing this 19ouncer.

Very dark brown, with a dark tan head that is rather hefty and robust. A very attractive glass imed after pouring. Aroma is a bit sharp but the classic traits of a good stout or maybe a porter come though. First impression is smokey, like an old fireplace. Hints of chocolate and a bit bitter. Very nice but lacking some of the full, warm feel of others of its illk.
