50cl bottle from a Londis. Quite a pale blonde colour with a bubbly head to start and lots of gas; touch of farmyard to the aroma; clean apple juice taste; with a dry finish. Not spectacular, but not bad for a mass market cider - presumably "designed" to be drunk from a tumbler full of ice.

Very bad mass produced cream flow beer. Very little aroma evident, and little taste, slight sweetness, and a touch of bitterness.

Tap at the Station Hotel, Dudley. Poured a clear medium brown with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is roasted malt, nuts. The flavour is medium bitter with a light watery malt hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Probably the worst mild I ever had.

300ml bottle. Took a bit of a gamble on this, 4 for £2.50 at Asda, but will they appear cheaper at B+M? As the top rater of Coors UK, I took the plunge, I need to keep the crown. Kind of surprised Druncan hasn’t drunk this yet, filth like this seems right up his street. Anyway... Pours cloudy lemon with no head. Aroma is cloudy lemonade and washing up liquid. Taste is lemonade throughout with a sharp finish.

Cask ’sample’ @ the opening night of a new ’Smoke House’ near my house on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Badged and described by staff as their own beer. It wasn’t. Fobbed up out the glass. Weak, watery with brown bread, dirty malt and not a lot else. Boring brown bitter.
