Description

I do not think this beer is "retired". the sample seems very fresh, too young even. Dark brown color. no head. Brwon sugar, syrup and molasses in the aroma. Very sweet and sugary flavor with apple syrup and molasses. Almost no carbon, no lacing. Thin. Tastes like a bad Russian dark lager.

Bottle. Pale blonde, creamy head. Hints of flowers, citrus and traubenzucker in the aroma. Soft malt, but firm hopbitter flavor with hints of flowers and citrus. Thin, but for Koelschip beers surprisingly good.

Bottle, 9,5% on the label. Pours an enormous head. Raisin and molasses in the aroma. Sweet sugary alcoholic fluid with grape juice, brown sugar and roasted malt. Medium bodied. Good recipe, but the execution could be much better.

Bottle. Had to pour with force to get a bit of foam. Orange blonde color. Pineapple, peach and dust in the aroma. Sweet, sugary flavor with pineapple, somewhat vinous. medium to full bodied and alcoholic, partly hidden by the sugar. Very mediocre, though drinkable.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Molasses and apple syrup in the aroma. Sweet, sugary flavor with molasses, tobacco and apple. Thin. Smells and tastes like home brew packet yeast. Very amateuristic brew. 2009 version, 8%. Dark brown color. Malt, just a hint fo smoke and cherry confit in the aroma. Caramel in the slightly acidic flavor, with plums and dried fruit. Smoke, cinnamon and coreander. One again makes an amateuristic impression. Is it just the yeast, or is this beer slightly infected?

Bottled. Dark brown color. Malty, buttery aroma with cinnamon. malty, buttery, caramelly flavor. Rancid butter aftertaste, with some burning alcohol. Diacetyl all over, without that it would have been a decent beer.
