On cask @ the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a slight haze and a decent head. Nose - lemon, herbs and going into fruit salad. Taste - more lemon and perhaps grapefruit. A light sweet malt note at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - the pick of this visit to the Haymarket.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy orange body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grass, bread and spices. Flavour of herbal hops, orange pith and a hint of white pepper. Thin to medium body with a frothy texture. Light fizz. Lots of flavour for the ABV.

500ml bottle. Straw coloured with a thin white head. Little aroma, taste is clean and dry, slight sweetness. Overall ok, but not very memorable

Cask at the Guildford. Pours clear dark amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of smoky bacon, sweet malt. Taste is smoke, faint caramel. Thin finish.

Cask at Winstons. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Light yeast esters on the nose, floral hops, faint malt. Taste is light bitter, nice yeast tang. Decent mix of Belgian beer and British cask.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours clear golden, nose is yeasty toffee, spiced, floral, taste is similar, chewy toffee.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours deep amber, nose is light peaty smoke, caramel, toffee, taste is chewy toffee, sweet, light smoke, thin. Could do with a bit more smoke but not bad.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - dark brown to black with some red chinks. Nose - smoky bacon. Some sweet malt at the back. Taste - smoked toffee going on. Smoke is definitely dominant. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy and smoky texture and a long dry smoky finish. Overall - good ale, Bob.
