(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with a small, white, dissipating head. Very distinct yeast aroma. Fairly light-bodied with lots of yeast and citrus - and nothing much more. By no means a good Hefe. 150107

Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with light notes of banana, and the flavor is sweet malty with light notes of wheat, straw, and banana. The body is quite light - thinner than most hefeweizens.

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Hazy, yellow body. Aroma of flowers, lemon, sourish apples. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet flavour. Ok balance, but not so special.

Flip-top bottle: Amber coloured, quite firm mid-sized off-white head; sweet malty, yeasty ("wooden"), spicy, slightly hoppy nose; delicate sweet flavour, medium bodied; slightly finish finish with raisins and almonds, well hidden, but a little bit warming, brandy-like alcohol, very late bitterness. A deceptive, moreish, dangerous Doppelbock....

Flip-top bottle: Golden coloured, medium-sized fluffy head, slowly collapsing; sweet malty - a faint touch of toasted malt - nutty, woody nose; mild sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; almondy and sweet-malty finish. O.K. without being really great.....

Bottle: Golden coloured, small fluffy head, quickly diminishing; grainy, dusty, a bit cardboardy nose; mild sweetish (-grainy) flavour, light bodied, but a bit oily; sweetish finish with a light touch of vegetables, mild bitterness coming later. O.K., but rather boring.......

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden coloured, medium-sized white head, slowly diminishing to a foamy layer; distinctive sweet-bready nose with a fruity-yeasty and resinous hoppy touch; moderate bitter-sweet llavour, quite fizzy MF; sweet-resinous hoppy - a bit adstringent - finish. A tasty, chewy Zwickel............

Bottle. Golden, eggshell creamy head. Light bready nose with a light hop counterpoint. Sweet cookie malt body, mellow chewy mouthfeel, adequatly balanced by fresh aromatic hops. Light on the finish. quickly fading leaving a fresh aromatic hoptrace - moreish.

Flip-top bottle: Amber coloured with a slowly diminishing fluffy off-white head; complex aroma: caramelly, herbal-hoppy, a bit resinous, almost fruity with faint traces of liquorice; moderate sweetish flavour, a bit bitter too, medium bodied; almost "wooden" bitter and sweet finish. A pleasant, unusual Dunkel...........

Bottle: Pale golden coloured, mid-sized fluffy head, quite stable; aromatic, almost resinous hoppy aroma with a big sweet-malty to bready touch; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, solid malty base; moderate floral-hoppy & sweet-malty finish. A fine Pils, closer to the Bohemian style than to the horrible "slim" german versions.........
