(swing top bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a short foamy off-white head. Slightly sweet toast-malty, nutty aroma with spicy, leafy and woody notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly toasted, nutty and leafy taste; moderately sweet malty finish with a raisin-fruity aftertaste. The alcohol is warming but de facto not detectable. Quaffable Doppelbock (28.12.06).

(swing top bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy, but quickly collapsing frothy white head. A bit skunky impression at first, later moderately sweet malty and nutty nose with leafy, woody, resiny hops. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, rather low on carbon. Initially malty, slightly toasted and minimal-fruity taste with light herbal, woody hops; moderately dry, light bitter finish (28.12.06).

(Bottle 50 cl) Vaguely cloudy pilsener golden with a white head. Sweet and lightly buttery aroma. The body is medium with a good and sweet malt base, but the buttery notes reappear in the flavours. No real bitterness. 120207

Bottled. A yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of straw, leading to a bitter end.

Der Antrunk ist auf das säuerliche Getriede ausgelegt, das auch im Mittelteil eine große Rolle spielt, da andere Aromen rar sind. Erst sehr spät kommt eine malzige Würze auf, die hell gehalten ist und sich an das Getreide anlehnt. Hier kommt zudem eine grasige Hopfennote auf, endlich entwickelt sich das Bier immerhin etwas. Ein Bier für den sommerlichen Genuss in der Sonne, nicht für den Winter wie angepriesen. 10/9/10/9/9/9

Getreidiger Antrunk, dazu kommt ein merkwürdiges Aroma, dass sich während des gesamten Trinkprozesses hält, es erscheint leicht bitter, vor allem aber faul. Ich werde doch wohl kein schlechtes Exemplar erwischt haben? Sofern man dieses Aroma übersehen kann dominiert der Hopfen im Mittelteil, im Nachgeschmack die Herbe. Außerdem in beiden Teilen würzig. So, genug, dieses faule Aroma bringt mich noch um! Neutest bei Gelegenheit! Test vom 25.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,5,6,5,8,5 - 5,70

Bottled. An unclear orange-brown beer with a fast disappearing light brown head - surprisingly fast disappearance for a Weizen. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of both caramel and wheat, and so is the flavor, but in the flavor light notes of citrus mixes in.
