On-tap at Brauhaus Lemke Hackescher Markt, Berlin on 11th October 2021. Clean amber/orange body, thin white head. Malty nose and flavour, biscuits and brown bread, light citrus notes arrive as the beer warms in the glass. Bottle picked up from BierLaden, Berlin and consumed at home after Beer School with Nat, Tuesday 17th August 2021, we had homemade Swedish Meatballs for tea. Pours black beer with a beige head. Malty nose, touches of vanilla and barrel ageing noted. Thick in the mouth, amazing to think that this is 14%. Bitter and roasty, whisky definitely showing now This is a very good beer.

Bottle picked up from a fabulous Edeka, Mitte area, Berlin and consumed at home Sunday 8th August 2021. Pours a very murky orange, dirty puddle colour with a white head. Nice aroma, slightly perfume hops, not quite in the same ballpark as Schneider Weisse Tap 5 but good. A little bit of sweetness carries through, thickness in the mouth, a little, good though the usual wheat characteristics are a little bit quieter here.

Bottle in our hotel room after a long day of walking and a little record shopping again, Saturday 7th August 2021. This was a really pleasant Maibock, light to mid amber in colour with a white head, fruity and with a steady maltiness, hoppiness subtle but present. Good, I really drank this quick a good beer.

Back at the hotel, The Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt, Berlin, Friday 6th August 2021 after 22-23km of walking around Berlin today. It had been a lovely day🌞, but we got very wet over the last 4-5km as the heavens literally opened. Super nice Imperial Stout, a little woodiness compliments the chocolate, some fresh rolling tobacco notes, a hint of spice, cocoa powder. In the mouth, smooth and easy drinking, some vanilla, a underlying bitter and roasty edge, a tiny tang, chocolate, this is really nice. Picked up from the superb Edeka Mitte that looks like it is in an old Market Hall, it is not far from Brewdog.
