Pours a lightly hazed amber colour with a small thin off-white head. The aroma is malty, biscuity and caramel with some fruity notes. A moderately sweet and malty taste, sweet biscuit and caramel, and ripe fruit flavours and fruity hops in a bittersweet finish.

From tap at White Horse on Parson’s Green, London, 29.01.22. Amber golden. Some off-white head. Well-balanced and interesting taste of pale malt, crystal malt, plum jam and dried berries - all balanced with moderate bitterness.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer No Evil online. Pours clear brown with a small, fading foamy beige head. Lightly sweet with restrained ashy roast, cocoa, some earth, raisins, nips of black coffee. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Balanced finish, more subdued roast, coffee, dark malts, light ash and earth. Nicely rounded stuff.

Lightly sweet, nice and clean, notes of pithy lemon and grapefruit, subtle rindy bitterness, nips of pine, biscuit. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Rounded, balanced hop character to finish, supportive pale malts, restrained bitterenss, more pithy citrus. Sound.

Keg at The Hand in Hand Brewpub, Brighton. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, peach, tropical aroma and taste, rather pleasant but not really a DIPA, more like a pale ale on steroids.
