Gravity cask at the Blue Boar as part of their 'From Sussex with Love' Festival, July 2022. Light yellow, hazy with a ring of white head. Sweet creamy aroma with notes of lemon meringue and gooseberry Fool. Sweet taste with a balancing bitter hop, although all and all this is a sweet beer. Juicy white grape and soft citrus in the aftertaste. Flat oily body. Lush.

Bitter-sour and slightly herbal taste with some treacle and Marmite in the finish. Not bad but a bit messy.

Pours a lightly hazed amber colour with a small thin off-white head. The aroma is malty, biscuity and caramel with some fruity notes. A moderately sweet and malty taste, sweet biscuit and caramel, and ripe fruit flavours and fruity hops in a bittersweet finish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Beer No Evil online. Pours clear brown with a small, fading foamy beige head. Lightly sweet with restrained ashy roast, cocoa, some earth, raisins, nips of black coffee. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Balanced finish, more subdued roast, coffee, dark malts, light ash and earth. Nicely rounded stuff.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Beer No Evil. Pours hazed yellow-gold with a small, creamy white head. Lightly sweet, nice and clean, notes of pithy lemon and grapefruit, subtle rindy bitterness, nips of pine, biscuit. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation.
