Bottle, pours cloudy amber with a huge fluffy white head. Spicy yeast aroma, banana sour taste, peppery bitter finish.

Clear, golden-amber colored, medium white frothy head, rather lasting. Aroma is pale malt, bit biscuit, plenty of spicy, herbal hops with some citrus notes. Taste is medium- sweet malt, light biscuit, moderate hoppy spicy, herbal and citrus notes, medium+ bitterness, bit yeasty, dry finish. Light+ bodied, average carbonation, watery. Belgian Session IPA comes to mind... No Brett whatsoever.

Ultra dependable, available almost everywhere in Belgium and still one of the best beers in the world. Amber orange with white frothy head of small bubbles. Aroma is funky brett. yeast, herbal, doughy. Beautiful taste, always finding something new in there after having it so many times. Spritzy, crisp and delicious. I can't describe why it's great, but it just is.

Creamy, lasting head. Aroma: hops and grapefruit. Taste: a bit tart, citrus and hops. A long, bitter finish. A very good and complex beer, but I prefer them a bit less bitter. Re-rate: Flowery hoppiness in the aroma. Strong oily hoppiness in the flavor. Citric and tart, vanilla. Long citric hopbitter finish. I have to boost my rating, because this is truly a great beer. tasted july 2008, 1986 bottle. Still lively in the bottle. Honey and plastic in the aroma. Still some reamining hops in the flavor, citrus and leather. Has become thin and tart. Past its peak, but still a very special beer. (8 3 6 3 13 = 3.3)

Bottle. Amber color, hazy. White pepper, leather, citrus and floral hops in the complex aroma. Thin, but also an amazingly compelx flavor for such a light beer. White pepper, citrus, floral hops, nutmeg. Bretty notes. World class!

Tap at À L’Ange Gardien. Slightly unclear amber with white head. Nose is hoppy. Grainy malts, hay, floral notes of hopbells, grassiness, soft fruitiness and dry yoghurt yeastiness. Soft sweet and grainy, medium to quite strong earthy herbal bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Regular Orval is much better but this is also a very nice beer to drink fresh, very tasteful, refreshing and a nice rural herbal grassy vibe to it. Wish I could take a bottle home to drink during an outdoor picknick. --- Beer merged from original tick of Orval Vert on 26 Jul 2019 at 15:06 - Score: 8. Original review text: Nose is hoppy.
