Bottled 27/04/2016. Pours clear orange amber with a large, loose frothy white head. The aroma has farmyard funk, it’s fruity, malty, spicy, yeasty, light hops. The taste is wonderfully complex - fruity, malty, yeasty, spicy, bready, light grassiness. Medium bodied, generous frothy carb. Dry, funky, fruity finish. Rightly a classic. It’s not a beer I’ve always enjoyed but I’m definitely growing to appreciate its wonderful nuances now.

Ale sie pieni! A poza tym owocowo-apteczny. Dobry, ale dziczyzna poszla w niekoniecznie fajnym kierunku, dobrze, ze nie trzymalem dluzej :)

From the 2015 bottle. Pours dark orange with a tall, foamy head. Aroma is cherry, citrus, spice .. tomato, kind of funky. Taste is mildly bitter/sour with a dryness that stays constant throughout. Smoke undertones. Chalky. Finishes tart with a hint of warmth. Body is medium with a pronounced carbonation. It’s pretty good and has a fair bit of complexity but I‘m not overwhelmed.

330 ml Bottle. 07/2017. Pours with a hazy, deep amber color and a large white head. Nose is very herbal, vinegar, ripe fruits, caramel and some yeast. Taste follows the nose with nice hops and a very nice dry finish.

12-10-17 // draft at À L'Ange Gardien in Orval. Cloudy orange beer, big white head. Really loved this lighter version of Orval. Typical Orval yeastiness is definitely there but there's this fresh hop aroma. As the big brother a unique experience and definitely worth the trip.
