One of Tseut’s tripels, apparently one I have missed so far, now sampled at Maldegems Bierfestival. Snow white, moussy, foamy, bit irregular and quickly opening, but edge-retaining head, misty apricot blonde robe with golden hue. Aroma of peach, banana, strong DMS (overcooked broccoli), cooked potato, raw turnip, dough, camomile, rainwater, minerals. Sweetish onset, light banana ester, notes of unripe pear and peach, quite harshly stinging carbonation; fluffy bready maltiness, bit cereally, with floral hoppiness in the finish adding light bitterness, but the DMS returns as well, much to my annoyance. Not Tseut’s best effort, neither technically nor conceptually – and completely redundant even within their own range. Why create yet another cliché blonde like this?

22/11/2018 - 33cl bottle from a trade with jerre. Clear amber colour, nice off-white head. Nose is chocolate and caramel malts, banana. Taste starts sugary, caramel, hint of chocolate, ripe fruits, bit oily, Nicely drinking. Nothing special but easy drinking and enjoyable. You could say easy going with some special features just like the man it should honour.

33cl bottle from a trade with Jefverstraete, thanks! A clear dark golden beer with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of dry spicy and grassy hops, strong pale malt. Taste of strong sweet pale mat, sugar, grains, cereals, no tripel hops..

75cl bottle. Shared. Deep golden color with a thin white head. Aroma has almonds, ripe fruits, marzipan. Flavor has ripe fruits, almonds, sweetness. No booze, but too almondy for me.

Sample from the bottle at Sture 21, Helsinki. Color is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, sweetness, dryness and malts.

F: tan, big, long lasting. C: murky amber to brown, hazy, opaque. A: malty, mellow fruity, banana, yeasty, peach, herbal, bit mint, hint of alcohol. F: not big, pale tanned, quick gone. C: dark brown, hazy, opaque. A: dark malts, bit roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, dark fruits. T: dark malts, liquorice, sweet chocolate, honey, caramel, cocoa, bit vinous, may be one dimensional but still good balanced, I like it, full body, low to medium carbonation, 33cl bottle from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.

F: medium to big, bit tan, good retention. C: amber, hazy. A: malty, fruity, herbal, banana, yeast. T: malty, orange peels, alcohol, yeast, bit banana, yeasty, floral, grainy, medium to full body, high carbonation, I expected somehow more hoppy profile but still not bad, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Bierwinkel De Hopduvel in Gent.

F: big, almost white, good retention. C: murky amber, hazy. A: malty, fruity, yeasty, orange peels, bit honey, banana.
