Draft at beertemple. Black pour. Aroma of cocos, chocolate, roasted malt and some earthy tones. Flavor has nice sweet earthy cocos, milk chocolate, roasted malt, bitter coffee and a nice sweet lucious cocos finish. I love coconut in stouts and this one is no exception, delicious liquid bounty.

Draught at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Made to fund an organisation committed to fight child cancer, a collab between Peter van den Arend’s Morebeer with Kees. Dense, creamy, pale greyish beige head quickly gone in the middle, very dark chestnut brown beer with bronze-ish hue, almost black in general appearance. Aroma of coconut milk and mashed coconut meat, even Bounty candy or Malibu spring to mind, fudge, milk chocolate, spritzy lime juice and lime zest, mojito, marzipan, mushy banana, ruby port, toasted bread, vague sweet sherry, caramel candy. Quite intensely candied banana onset, sweet and fully rounded, some fig and residual candi sugar sweetness too, lots of aromatic and lively coconut milk sweetness, thick fudge- and caramel-like malt core, very chocolatey too, ’moelleux’ and creamy, filling the mouth cavity. Bitter toasted notes in the finish along with warming, whisky-like alcohol, while a very refreshing, yet subtle lime zest-like, thin acidity cuts through it all and really enlightens the thick, toffeeish malt body. The lime is, however subtle, really the redeeming feature here, but I like coconut-flavored black beers to begin with as well so this combo works perfectly for me. Absolutely stunning!

Tap at Beer Temple, 21st December 16. Pours black, aroma is bounty and lime, milk chocolate. Taste is really well executed, bitter chocolate, enough lime to be evident, some coconut and many features of a good impy going on. Lovely
