Bottle. Bottle #537. Dark brown to black-colored with a big, slowly-diminishing, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, some cocoa and hints of spiciness. Sweet flavor of malt, roastiness of coffee and some chocolate, some dark bread, light acidity and yeast notes. Finishes mildly bitter with a bit of hops. Medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Nothing astonishing, just a very good beer.

Bottled. Cloudy golden color, medium head. Aroma of grain, bit grassy, strong hop. Taste starts very grainy as well, slight grassy and slight yeasty, but in the end the bitterness kicks in. Aftertaste is mostly bitter. Decent stuff.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Bottled and drunk on the train on the way home. Black with very dark brown edges. Lasting dark beige head. Aroma of an impy stout which surprised me. Intense choc malt aroma, some stinging hop too. Little bit of rubber in mouth, but more dark bitter choc. Finish has moderate length mostly of bitter dark choc. But it’s a fairly light bitterness. Very good strong choccy stout. I would probably have it down as an impy stout. Stinging herby hop is really rather good.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Hazy copper colour with bubbly off white head. Some yeast, some herby hop on aroma. Some Dutch sweet malt. Then a good muddy earthy hop finish. Pretty decent earthy strong bitter. Good hop. It’s surprisingly good

Courtesy of bierkoning, thanks Edo! Amber color, small off-white head. Amarillo hoppy nose: pine needles, yeastyness and fruityness. Nicely balanced with piney Amarillo hoppyness and malts, fruity sweetness. Really easy to drink for being 9.2 % and EBU 77 beer ... good one.

Bottled. Hazy pale nutbrown colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is is bigtime amarillo hops. Flavour is very fruity hoppy along with mild sugary hints. Alcohol shows as a small burn, but doesn’t go into the flavour too radically. Wellbalanced and nice DIPA. Probably the first DIPA I have had from the Netherlands.

Courtersy of Bierkoning, ty Edo! Hazy orange-amber color, cloudy off-white head, lots of lace. Strong fresh hayish hoppy nose. Refeshing, dry mouthfeel. Fresh hoppy flavor, a bit thin, not aggessive hoppyness. Short oily aftertaste. Drink for summer terrace.

Bottle. Red brown colour with a tan head. Flavour is coffee, sweet, apple, alcohol, hop, roasted, malt. OK beer. Not my favourite stout, too unharmanic to be that.
