Description
It started as a hobby. In 2012, four brewery friends decided to join their tasty tripel in the Brouwland Beer Competition. From a selection of more than 90 beers, our Bryggja was voted the best hobby beer in Belgium by a professional jury. The start of a great adventure! We took this opportunity with both hands and chose a name, bottle, a suitable design for our label ... With the Bruges Beer Festival 2013, our beer was launched. We brewed externally and the sales went beyond all expectations. The following year our 2nd beer "Amuse" came on the market. A spicy beer that is very suitable as an aperitif beer. At the end of 2014, the decision was made to fully go ahead and start our own brewery. We found a building in Moerkerke and in the spring of 2015 the brewing installation was installed. We only work with Belgian hops and can therefore also use the official logo. Our beer is a traditional product, with us no extracts, no flavor or foam enhancers. We like to keep it pure nature.

Bottle. Quite balanced, easy drinking. Nothing pokes out. Good balance of slightly spicy, light light funky yeastiness, subtle honeyish maltiness, and medium-low bitterness level with light flowery grassy hops flavour. Good one, its quality mostly being its drinkability. Good nevertheless though.

Taste: very spicy, cloves, aniseed, liquorish, bit sweet, caramel, pretty bitter and hoppy. Aftertaste: spicy, touch of chili almost?, liquorish, caramel, bit oxidized, reminds me of a Struise yeasty brown ale. I like the bitterness in this one!

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow golden color, full sized foamy white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, some yeast, lightly herbs or spices. Taste malts, more bitter than I had expected, lightly a hint of herbs or spices, perhaps a touch of fruitpeel and fruitpeel bitter and a hint of yeast. Decent body, firm and lightly fizzy carbonation. Not bad after I got used to the mouthfeel a bit.

Bottle. Gusher. Pours mostly foam, but hidden underneath, there is an unclear blonde beer. Smell is bit sweet ( trough yeast ) and malty. Taste is very corny, almost like eating cereal. Bit bitter as well, with a nice yeasty aroma I really like. Rather high carbo, but not as extreme as I feared.
