About
Paljas is ontstaan door een uit de hand gelopen hobby van Mathias Van den Poel. Na twee jaar experimenteren met verschillende hopsoorten zag de Paljas Blond in 2013 het levenslicht. Later volgden dan de Paljas Bruin, Paljas IPA, Paljas Rosé en Paljas Saison. De bieren van Paljas zijn ondertussen in twintig landen te verkrijgen.

*** As of 2021, the brewery 'Henricus' seized to exist as a seperate brewery- it was bought by Brewery De Leite, and the Paljas beers are now brewed under their care. ***

Bottle. Golden color, almost clear. Aroma: fruit esters, apple and pear, light sourness, malt, a little floral hops. Taste: apple and pear, a little citrus and sourness, light bitterness, soft, not bad.

25cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop (obviously I skip this in BAB in Bruges). F: huge, off-white with pink hue, long lasting. C: amber, hazy. A: a lot of artificial raspberries, raspberries sherbet powder as I know it from my childhood, apple juice touch. T: light malty base, artificial sweet raspberries, bit white sugar, medium to high carbonation, very old style beer, not enjoyed at all.

Rocky white head left a blotchy vover on a lemon coloured still body. Citrus, yeast & cereal aroma. Medium bodied, light over the palate with sharp clean back. Clean tasting with bitter/sweet citrus, lemon, grain & yeast tastes with a spicy fruity finish.

Tap at Craftsman Yokohama. Nice Belgian saison flavour, quite fresh and fruity, light hop bitterness. Bit soapy in a good way.

Bottle. pale amber color. Some grass, earthy notes and tropical fruit in the shy aroma. The flavor has the same, but is more pronounced. Soft vinous notes. Some bitterness in the finish. Decent.

Bottle. Golden color. Floral perfumed aroma with hints of peach. Malty sweet perfumed flavor with soft citrus and peach notes. Unimpressive and way too sweet.

Bottle. dark brown color. Caramel and pear in the aroma. Malty sweet roasty caramelly flavor with pear. Too sweet, but at least there are some agreable flavors to compensate

[33cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring.] An amber pour with a loose cream head; grassy hop aroma; rather sweet and grainy in the mouth with some sourness; and then toffee and yeast to finish. Quite pleasant.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing. Fresh grainy beginning. The hops are round and floral, refreshing in the back. Deep golden grainy, nice bittered, refreshing and round. Grainy refreshing in the aftertaste. Nice.
