Description
Crux is a crossroads, an intersection, the heart of something. In brewing it's that pivotal point where fermentation happens and anticipation mounts.
We’re Crux Fermentation Project— housed in a former AAMCO Transmission Plant and inspired by our location right in the heart of Bend, Oregon. Our brewery is a one-of-a-kind, built for non-traditional brewing methods like decoction mashing, open fermentation and barrel aging, and for leveraging the limitless possibilities that wild yeast strains and experimental hops present.

Aromas are clean, fresh, malty, hoppy adjunct pale lager. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly more sweet than bitter and with decent carbonation to balance. Very drinkable but nothing special.

12 oz. can, pours a somewhat hazy golden orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is surprisingly subdued, with gentle citrus and earthy hops, a hint of resins, and bready malt. Flavour is on the sweet side, with caramel malt, resinous hops, and a bit of syrupiness. The carbonation seems a tad high too for the style. A bit too sweet for me, but it's decent.

Draft at Hops & Bottles. Cloudy golden pour, thin skin of head. Aroma doesn't give away much, and taste follows with notes of suntan oil. A little zesty at the finish, and then nothing. Misses the mark for me.

16oz can at Hops & Bottles. Clear golden pour, one finger persisting white foamy head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Taste brings some sweet malts in, the hops get bitter and dry, fruity flavors at the back. Clean finish
