Description
A pasteurizer, a centrifuge or a clear beer filter is not dealt with at the Dilewyns brewery. All natural and healthy elements remain in the bottle due to non-filtering. Thanks to non-pasteurization, Vicaris is a living product with taste evolution, discover for yourself when your Vicaris is at its best!

Draft pour to a trappist glass at Bambinos. Pours a dark brown with a thin film head. Very soft aroma. Almost absent. Toasty flavor with caramel that lingers. Smooth, cool flavor, and very nice. Solid winter beer.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Almost clear golden, off-white head. Both, the aroma and the taste are a combination between a classic fruity, honeyish and slightly alcoholic tripel, and a moderately tart funky lambic. Both come in waves one after another. Smooth body. A good combination, I would say.

Celebration beer for the five years existence of the Dillewyns brewery. Firm and dense, creamy, snow white head over a clouded golden blonde beer with somewhat greenish hue. Sweet but ’noble’ aroma of banana, melon, vanilla cake, red apple, sweet white grape, white bread. Estery onset, peach, hints of banana and pineapple, soft carbo, full mouthfeel, sweetish malt base, bready, light grassy hops in the finish providing a bit of balancing bitterishness, but the sweetness prevails; some warming alcohol as well, but not in an obnoxious manner. Technically very well executed, albeit a bit cliché, surely they could have found something else than a tripel for the occasion?

25/10/2015 @home - 33cl bottle (2013) from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte Dark brown with nice tanned head. Dark malt, caramel, some licorice, a lot of port taste. Less complex taste than I remember form other, maybe fresher version. Or my taste has changed a lot because I was a bit dissapointed in this one.

Good, whipped eggwhite-like head, stable, over coldhazed golden beer. End of bottle solid yeast. Dried herbs, herbarium, citrus, some aromahops. Dry at first, malty, but ending sweetish - some alcohol involved. Faint lightly toasted malts. Warming up, liquorice, becoming quite sweet, honey. No doubt white candi sugar included. Quite slick, but not very well bodied (sugar); alcoholwarming. Blonde triple-like beer, more than decent, but as for innovative??

F: average white, not long lasting. C: yellow to gold, hazy. A: malt, some fruits, orange peels, hops, spice, green pepper. T: medium body, lively carbonation, quite sweet, orange/citrusy, banana, a lot of yeast, some hoppy grassy tones on the palate, but all together tasty, 0,75l bottle from beer fest in Zottegem.
