Draught @ The Hoptimist, Manhattan (Jan 2024). Clear dark brown with red highlights with a large foamy beige head, faint toasted malt aroma, medium carbonation, mildly sweet caramel malt taste with faint bourbon flavor, bitterness seeping in at the end, thin body, long finish. The bourbon flavor is there but there's no woodsy element.

Another acquisition from Half Time, a new DIPA from a new brewery for me. I lift the tab and tilt inside of a snifter. The view is an indistinct orange-gold body with a huge head of creamy, off-white foam. I detect a whiff of citrus, some tropical and the possibility of hoppiness. I take a drink, well, this is a surprise next to the scent. Assuredly hoppy with an accompanying bitterness, peaches, tangerines, fresh cut cedar, white bread and a bit of lemon. Rather tasty, I’m glad it is a pint can. A fine beer in my estimation.

16oz can from Tavour. Cloudy golden pour with a sturdy two finger foamy head, streaky lacing. Aroma is citrus, piney and dank all at the same time. Dank taste, notes of tropical and stone fruit. Sweet, bitter and a gentle burn. Creamy feel. I like this new hop.
