Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours cle and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and slight herbal. Smooth fruity and grapefruity. Dry and solid hoppy. Dry finish.

Bottle at PBFX. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Citrus, grass and gooseberry in the nose. Light-bodied. Fruity citrus flavor. Some orange peels in the flavor. Balanced.

Bottled on PBF X. Unclear golden, thin white head. Lemony, citrusy, floral aroma, some spiciness. Flavor has floral notes, grapefruit, green gooseberries. Bitter finish. Sessionable.

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Hazy pale golden, small head. Mango and cantaloupe up front. Mid dry with light body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Grain with some elderflowers. Long bitter finish.

Bottle. Lemon, orange, banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet-tart lemon-banana, clove, and wheat malt flavor. Light body. Okay.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with an exceptionally dark brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong toasty malts, anise, whiskey, chocolate syrup, marshmallow and floral hops. The flavor was anise, whiskey, wood, chocolate syrup, marshmallow, port wine adn crisp floral hops. Intense and strong flavors. Long finish. Full body - thick and creamy. Fantastic.

0,33 flaske fra Systembolaget Vasagatan Stockholm, på hotellet og delt med Kitty: klar mørk gylden med fint skum. Nydelig aroma og smak (i bare 4,8%!) med citrus, blomster og honning. Flott kropp og like flott avslutning - riktig lang og passe bitter ettersmak.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-caramel color with a large fluffy orange-tan head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was malty, caramel, vegetal and dark fruits. The flavor was malty, vegetal, sour caramel and dark fruits. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Sampled on draft at Dad’s pub this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy tan head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was nutty, malty and had a touch of vanilla. The flavor was roasty, malty, vanilla, a hint of coconut, toasty malts and nut. The flavor got richer as it warmed. Medium length finish. Medium body. Decent.
