Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

Bottle. Clear copper with a fine white head that fades but laces well. Aroma of bread, earthy yeast, caramel, peaches, pine, kumquats, alcohol. Syrupy with low carbonation. Very sweet with peaches and oranges as well as caramel before a firm bitter finish. Pine lingers. Boozy. OK, but doesn’t offer a great deal for its strength except its strength.

Hazy dark copper - low carbonation, oily texture - a lot or orange character throughout, but more like orange floor cleaner - a lot of butter in the nose and quite a bit in the flavor as well - abrasive throughout - very sweet - messy, and disappointing considering the quality of the ipa.
