Description
Mission Brewery was originally established in 1913, but like most breweries of the time, it went out of business during the first year of Prohibition. In 2007, Dan Selis, an avid homebrewer, re-established the brand and has built it into one of the top craft breweries in San Diego County.

12 ounce bottle - inky black pour - fairly viscous - nose of caramelized sugars, smoke, bittersweet chocolate, espresso, light alcohol - thick, slick mouthfeel - fairly sweet burnt sugars in the flavor - some char, roast - smoke, vanilla, moderate bitterness - light acid and bitterness in the finish temper the relatively high sweetness - a decent imperial stout.

22oz bottle from Country wine and spirits in CA
Appearance: Pours hazy golden with a big off-white head and lots of sticky lacing
Aroma: Grapefruit, dusty caramel and pine
Taste: Dusty caramel, citrus and pine resin
A decent IPA but the dusty malts were too much.

This beer pours black with a medium khaki head that diminishes slowly to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Full-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of charred malt, chocolate and a bit of licorice. The finish is slightly smoky with a dark chocolate and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Light amber color, small foamy beige head, slight fruity aroma (strawberry?), hoppy sweet fruity taste, low carbonation, long finish. Enjoyable experience.

Bomber. Pours a deep orange/gold in color. Thick and creamy white head that leaves plenty of spotty lacing. Aroma? Maybe a bit of citrus hops. Taste is big and bold. Flavor is exotic fruits, pine resin, sweet caramel malts, and yeast. Almost a funky belgian yeas (this one had lots of sediment that I swirled in). Medium bodied with above average carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel and slightly alcoholic in taste.
