From a bottle smells like punky pie. Look is dark like a porter. Stoutly kind a feel that morphs into a stronger dark lager. Yes that spice is in there. That molasses is detectable I think, gives it a rich nerve. Yes, that dark beer thing takes over in the middle yet it has decent, almost over the top, punky personality. Just never quite gets there. Aroma turns metallic toward the end.

Bottled. A Brown beer with a Brown head. The aroma has notes of caramel, bread, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a bitter finish.

clear brown, smooth small light brown head.aroma is sort of boozy, dark malty .flavor slightly woody or sourish, malty, like a wood lagered porter, quite nice, also faint note of rubber.

Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is breadish and roasted. Bitter, roasted and metallic. Dry and roasted. Metallic. Dark malty and breadish. Lingering dark malty finish.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy orange-bronze body. Big, steady, foamy off-white head. Has some nice resinous citrus tones in the aroma. Sort of standard US IPA, some West Coast tendencies. Has a kind of gritty feel to it. A little mundane, but a decent enough IPA.

12oz can pours with a nearly clear copper body that supports an off white head. The timid aroma offers up some malts, some earthy sort of hops, a dash of citrus and then a thin ribbon of caramel. The taste start malty and kind of sweet and quickly gets into vague resiny hop bitterness that has a malt sweetened pine thing going on. To midway I can’t tell if this is getting estery with sweet apple and prune fruitiness or vaguely citrus hard candy sort of hoppiness. It stays resiny with hops into the finish with just too much sweet malt baggage.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Hazy gold beer, few white bubbles for a head. Light smooth palate, semi dry with light fine carbonation. Twangy light sourness. Apple led orchard fruits. Very light spice. Light tangy finish. Interesting saison.

12 ounce can from I don’t remember where. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large foamy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of tropical, citrus hops, a bit of pine, toasted malts and caramel. The taste is citrus, tropical, candied citrus hops, mild berry notes, mild caramel malt. Medium bodied, decent balance. Nice beer.

Bottle at Tusk & Trotter. Clear brown color, tan head. Aroma of chocolate and malted milks balls. Mostly cocoa taste, light and easy to drink.

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Bottle shared. Slightly hazy a bit weird pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, slightly hops, yeasty, some fruityness but it reminds me of overripe pineapple which is not really nice imo. Average body and carbonation. Hmm not really my thing I guess.
