Cask - Over ripe apricot and other sweet esters. Clearish gold with almost no head. Lots of fruity esters and a long sweet finish. Tastes like old juice.

Cask gravity at the 2014 GBBF. Aroma is floral, sweet honeysuckle, sweet wheaty dough grains, subdued dausion yeast. Slightly meaty. Golden yellow coloured pour with no head. Flavour is flabby wheat and sweet orange, some spicy lingering flavours . palate is doughy and flabby. Not a nice saison.

1st rating August 2014. 355ml bottle. Near black, thin brown head. Citrusy, roasty, coffee, nutty aroma. Flavor has citrus, roasted malt, tobacco, salty notes. Dry finish with cocoa. Tasty black IPA, balanced.

Anyway, good stuff, near black, thin brown head. Hoppy, roasty, cocoa aroma. Flavor has roastedness, hops, dark chocolate. Pleasant smoothness and body. Bitter finis points the same as from the bottle.

Small sample at bocktown and that’s all I needed. Strong ale indeed. Fading head. Darker yellah, maybe orange or mahogany, I guess, but I think not that dark. Slight volatile aroma. Stronger initial blast in the personality. Alky, warm on the palate. Slight medicinal palette, yeah, its american alright, some manners but not many.

Aroma: Mild citric hoppy, roasted malt, coffee and mild fruity.
Palate: Full to medium body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Soft to average carbonation.
Taste: Mild citric hoppy, roasted, coffee, chocolate and mild fruity.
Overall impression: Tasty ok BIPA. Lacked some more hoppiness and a bit mild fruity.

Flaska från kompis, tack igen Tomas. Svartbrun vätska med två fingrar högt kaffefärgat skum. Ordentliga dofter av kaffe och citrus, intressant kombo. Citrusig smak med kraftigt humlebett. Det hela rundas av med smak av brända kaffebönor.

Curious little liquor store near me has a small selection of a lot of things that nobody would want to drink, and every now and then something really nice, or at least unexpected, shows up. Got a 6 pack cans. Amber color, haze. Pitted head, good lacing. Big citrus nose, grapefruit and lemon rind, a hint of bread dough caramel malts. Flavor is lemon spice , bready, lingering spicy resin hop, peppery. Touches of grapefruit juice. Semi-dry finish. Fairly balanced, I like it.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with medium frothy beige head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a strong bready malt, raisin, caramel, and pine. Nice bitter hop bite, caramel malt, and nice light bitterness. Very good.

Pours mahogany into a Trappist glass. Vanilla head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel aromas. Thick and sweet with vanilla and caramel front to back. Warm lasting toffee and bourbon finish.
