Draught @ Tommyknocker, Helsinki. Aroma has coffee, syrupy tones and chocolate. Flat palate, no CO2. Flavour has sweet, syrupy malt, semi-dark chocolate and coffee. The sweetness is quite the same as in east european stouts, but it is not that overwhelming. Sweetish, clean and simple.

Bottle shared late night in the hotel lobby during RBWG 2015. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. Clear gold with a creamy white head. Decent piney hops on the nose, some pale bread, ripe orange. Medium sweet flavor with moderate oily pine, more ripened citrus, bready pale malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Basic piney hops in the finish, some citrus, white bread, hay. So so.

Bottle from Wegman’s, served in snifter. Dark brown and medium bodied, with very little aroma. Cocoa and honey flavor is cloying at colder temperature but more pleasant when the beer has warmed some. Not an outstanding porter, but a decent beer.

Draft mason jar pour at Beaujos PIzza in Idaho Springs, Colorado. The pour is opaque brown with a small khaki head. The aroma is soft vegetal with sweet artificial cocoa along with some sweet malt. The taste is the sweet malt up front, followed close by the artificial cocoa and then some off flavors. The palate is light to medium bodied with the lingering sweet off taste.

Bottle. A- Grass, wheat, lemon, corn. A- Golden color, cloudy liquid, minimal white head. T- Wheat, lemons, herbs, corn. P- Light body, creamy texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- Not sure what the unusual aroma and taste is but I am assuming it is the lemon grass. Kind of helps it on the palate but hurts it on the nose. It was nothing special and really just another wheat beer.

355 ml bottle, from Fakta Hirtshals. ABV is 6.2%, IBU 55. BB date 21. April 2014. Hazy orange to amber colour, low white head. Aroma of stale orange marmalade. The flavour is medium dry with citrussy notes, "unfresh" and stale notes in the moderately bitter finish and aftertaste. Drinkable, but hopefully better when fresh.
