A little light on the body for my taste, but otherwise an enjoyable porter. Aroma of caramel malts with hints of chocolate, nuts. Flavors of the toasted malts, chocolate, caramel with hint of nuts. Slight bitter notes behind all this.

Brought to marinaro500’s post-Thanksgiving gathering by BBB63. Deep brown body with some orangey-red highlights, thin light cream head. Nice deep roasted malt nose, definite lactose notes, and coffee (a coffee and cream feel). Flavor was nice but light with coffee, lactose, chocolate and light roasted malts. A tad sweet but too thin-bodied, surprising considering the relatively strong aroma.

A red brown beer with a light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coffee, alcohol, roasted malt, and some chocolate. The flavor is sweet on a dry background with notes of coffee, wood, chocolate, and alcohol. The finish is like bitter chocolate.

Pretty nice rendition of an ESB type ale. I found the balance between the hops and malt to be good and...it’s a nice beer with above average drinkability. And in the can, even.(Dale’s Pale rocks)
Best regards,
