Bottle from cbkschubert, Thanks Craig! Bottle dated Aug 05, friuty caramel malt nose; amber with a samll beige head; tart caramel flavor with some banana esters in a medium body, along with a tart fruity finish. Unusual tartness for an amber, or was it turning!

Rating #650; bottle from cbkschubert, Thanks Craig! Noseof chocolate and coffe malts, with a hint of smoke in the background; very dark but transparent brown with a medium, long-lasting, glass-lacing tan head; good coffee, chocolate, and caramel flavors, along with a little hop bitterness, came from the light body. Alcohol was well hidden!

Bottle from cpkschubert, Thanks Craig! Nose of grain like a pale lager (no surprize), but there is a faint bit of citrusy hops in the background; gold with a small white head; Flavor was grainy malt in it’s medium-light body, with a little citrus and hops in the finish.

An orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy, but also with strong malty notes as well as notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with strong caramel notes and lesser citrus notes, as well as a slight burn from the alcohol. But I find the mouthfeel somewhat thin.

(Bottle 65 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with an off-white head. Distinct aroma of caramel and citrus. Rather full body with lots of bitter citrus notes. The finish is very dry and bitter - but pleasant. 061006 and 260708

Paler orange-amber with a small off-white head. Typical USA hops, but quite discreet, fine, aromatic and not overpowering. Some orange marmalade. Very citrussy taste, lemony, orangey, with a fine hopflavour. Flowery, nearly. My drinking (& brewing) companion SERIOUSLY doubts its acclaimed 10%. Serious lipsmacking bitterness. No West Coast wallop, but a very well-behaved mountaneer. Actually, it makes up for a very nice, and especially, DRINKABLE beer. Thanks, David!
